Where are they?
Is anyone doing anything special here for the 4th? Drinks? Fireworks? Anything like that? Otherwise I may try to organize something...

Probably not, Ben. The big firework displays (being as how we live in Switzerland) are reserved for Swiss National Day on 1st August.
I would save your sparklers for then, although there's no law (yet!) against having them on the 4th as well!

I'd come if you organize something. I thought about doing something special for America's National day too. But I remember attending a party organized in Geneva in a big park some years ago. It was like a fair during the day for the children and in the evening you could get something to eat at some food stands. There are things happening for American expats, but probably more in Geneva.

Assuming it doesn't rain, y'all are welcome to celebrate July 4th with me and some friends in Lausanne. We're planning to have a small cook out down by the lake starting around 7pm. Send me a message if you're interested in joining us.
Oh and no air horns allowed... just kidding soccer fans! :)
