I am in need of an English speaking Endodontist somewhere between Aigle and Lausanne.

Please let me know if you have had good experiences with any.

Thanks!

Hi Jacqui,

Except for perhaps simple cleaning, the quality of the dental care you get makes an enormous difference. Our teeth are a biomechanical machine that is subject to enormous pressures and daily "chemical insults" that affect their integrity. Even a badly done filling (say, slightly too high) will affect the function of the tooth above or below and of the whole set, placing slighter higher pressure, causing misalignment, etc. You may not notice any difference on a daily basis, but years later you will wonder why other teeth became weaker, why a tooth broke etc. You certainly will suffer the consequences when you reach your forties.

I know this because I was a professor at the UCLA School of Medicine, and by also teaching at the UCLA School of Dentistry, I learned to appreciate Dentistry from my colleagues there. I also learned that the UCLA School of Dentistry is one of the best in the world. That is why when I moved here, I looked for a dentist in Switzerland who has received training there. I was willing to go anywhere in Switzerland or this area of France, but it turns out that there is an excellent one in Geneva, Dr. Delessert.

He is in Carouge, which is not where you are looking for, but I honestly think it is worth the effort.

He is truly a dental scientist, and an artist! Just pay him a visit and you will understand. When he explains the treatment needed, I can see the UCLA School of Dentistry approach and philosphy. Good dental care really pays off. Most people find out only when it is too late. You can not get back your natural teeth or any portion of it you lose due to sub-standard care.
