Looking for accommodation for film crew in Lausanne - in Sept - can anyone help?

Hi everybody,

I'm currently working for a cultural organisation in Belgium, called "Graindelavoix". We are making Medieval Music...

For our new show, we are making a film, in a cooproduction with "Rosas" , a dance company. This film will be integrated in our musical show.

Our next shooting for the film will be in Lausanne. Shooting days are from September the 1st till the 6th. We are looking for accommodation for our cast & crew in Lausanne during this period, and I hoped that "Glocals" can help us to find accommodation or give us some advice? Can anyone help us out? (we will be with a total of 22 persons)

All advice is welcome!

Thanks already!

Regards,

Inge

Hello Inge,

What type of accomodation are you looking for (in town/countryside, budget,...)?

Hi Inge

Would this be the group from Antwerpen? If so, we knew them when we lived there - they are fantastic. We could therefore perhaps offer accommodation: actually we live across the water in Evian-les-Bains but the boats run regularly so the crew could take the boat backwards and forwards to Lausanne.

We have two double bedrooms, however both have double beds so would be suitable only for one person : bathroom adjacent on the upper floor of our house. Please let me know.

Hello Alexandra,

We are looking for accommodation in the city center, since we have our film shoots mainly around the Cathedral, the Petithéâtre and the train station.

We are around 20 persons, so we thought it would be easier to rent a house or something like that, a place with a kitchen preferably. Because we have a cook that will come with us. If there wouldn't be enough beds, we are very flexible and some of us wouldn't mind sleeping on the floor on a mattrasses. Or we can devide us into groups and stay at different locations too? Whatever is possible!

Since we are a cultural organisation, we don't have a big budget...so we always look for the cheapest things ;)

Do you know something like that in Lausanne?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Regards,

Inge

Hi Sheila,

Yes indeed! Graindelavoix is that group from Antwerp! I'm glad you like our shows!

Thank you very much for the offer, but I'm afraid it is a little difficult for us to be farther away from the city center, we have very long shooting days, and I fear we will miss the boat...unless it also goes to Lausanne in early mornings or even at night?

Kind regards,

Inge

Hi Say hello to Bjorn Schmeltzer from us!

Yes, the boats go in the early morning [07.00] and fairly late at night, although I have to say that we are also a few minutes from Evian centre. If you are still looking for accommodation, please let us know.

Hi Sheila,

Sorry for the late reply - I was on holiday in July, and have been quite busy since I got back.

I saw Bjorn last week and I already told him about you, he was very pleased you knew Graindelavoix :)

We are still looking for accommodation, it's not easy to find for such a large group of 20.

Especially since we are looking for something with a kitchen in it.

I'll keep you posted if we found something, always welcome to say "hi" to Bjorn in person when we are there!

Kind Regards,

Inge
