New Year's Eve

Hi Guys! I'm new in Lausanne and this will be my first New Year's Eve here, so I would like to know how it is in Lausanne (or surroundings)? Is there any public place where people gather or something? I need suggestions. And if anyone wants to join me, would be great.

Cheers,

Luis

Hey Luis,

I am sure if you go down to Flon, or by Place du Tunnel, or to some smaller places around Bessieres you will find some party-action. :O) I've already seen some things planned at Bleu Lezard, for example. I think Le Bourg is open too.

Me, I am going to Berlin to visit friends: just as cold, but way more going on! And it is crazy. Two New Years ago,  I was at a party there: a flat just to the side of us caught on fire as there were SO MANY fireworks being set off by people on the street, on their roofs. Total exhilirating chaos.

And the night train is only 184.- round trip.

Hugs and good luck!

oh forgot to add, depending on what you are into, there are several squats around Lausanne that are certainly having events. Just hope they can keep the heat on ;O)
