Skiing Lessons

I am a skiing beginner and wish to start some regular lessons. I live in Lausanne and don't have a car so need to be able to get to the lessons by public transport.

I will also need to hire equipment.

Any suggestions (preferably not too far away or expensive!!)

If you use public transport from Lausanne, Verbier will be the easiest slop to reach.  it will be just one change at Martigny. Also you will get discount ski pass.(Normally Verbier ski pass is 61 CHF.) There will be full of English speaking ski instructor. My friend took half day lesson and in the afternoon, he could manage to ski on blue slope :-) Good luck.
