Thank you Karin! Yes, there has even been a radio and TV report on this new platform, both in French. Nevertheless most people posting event speak at least English, often several languages. Check out in events, I have share the next two ones me and my boyfriend are organizing.

I'm sorry to read that you perceive this as a money making approach. To me personally it does not feel like this.

I can at least speak for my events / dinners, they are just covering my purchase costs if they get fully booked (my work and time is for free). It's a bit like joining a Jaspers Drinks and paying for your drinks (you would not expect to get invited, right?).

A social eating platform will hopefully not replace nice dinners with friends. It is to me a great way to share a meal/ food experience at home with new people versus posting a dinner in a restaurant. For the guests it is much cheaper than going to a restaurant and a much more personal experience.

I hope I was able to give you a different perpective. Maybe you can try once so that you can get a first hand experience.
