Yoga classes/schools in Lausanne?

Hi all,

I’m looking for a Yoga school or classes in Lausanne.

I’m looking for a  place with excellent teachers. Of course, as cheap as possible but I’m happy to pay for HIGH quality J

Where do you go? Where would you advice?

Namaste,

Laura

Hi Laura,

Rania teaches a free class in English which is lovely: there is a link in the things to do section on the glocals website.

The school that she teaches at is a nice space, close the train station and is cheap 15CHF. I have't been to classes there, so I am not sure of the level or the type, I can only say that the place has a very good vibe, true to the yoga spirit.

Yogaworks is a place in san Laurent that I go to sometimes, it is central and has pretty dynamic classes (I like the instructor Jerome the best - Wednesdays), classes are a little pricey in the 25-33 CHF range

Donna Lambert teaches in Chantilly, and I see that she posts events here too, I haven't made it out to her but she seems very nice and helpful.

Hi Laura,

I have been going to yoga-shala in rue de bourg http://yogashala-lausanne.ch since October. I do not know of other places in LSN, but I like yoga-shala for the atmosphere, the teachers, and all the people that go there.

Check the many schedules and the prices they offer (in the web). In addition, they host many activites and workshops off the regular schedule which make a good oportunity for discovering new things and people. For example, last week they hosted the European Yogi Nomad weekend in Lausanne, with more than 100 people going to the 3h workshop on saturday and in may, they have an acro-yoga worksop.

Classes are in french, but teachers speak english too.

Hope it helps,

-ji

I really love http://100pour100yoga.com/ on Rue Nueve. I have been taking classes with Sylvain, and like him a lot. He speaks perfect English and gives bilingual classes. Travels to India once a year and is a very dedicated teacher. Will be organizing a yogathon in March, for a really cheap price- 2 days for only 50 CHF, in case if anyone is interested

Hi Laura,

Try yogaworks, great power and hatha classes. Mix of French and English, all teachers speak both. Friendly and good choice of classes. I have been going since their opening in 2003!

HI

I teach Ashtanga vinyasa and Hatha Yoga classes in Chailly, Lausanne. We have a lovely home studio and lots of parking, but you can also get here by metro or bus. Classes cost 25CHF. Thanks Ciara for the recommendation. Please have a look at my website at www.yogavaud.ch for more info. If you would like to come and try a class, please email or telephone me and I will give you the address.  We also have a self-practice group on Saturday mornings for people who already have an Ashtanga Yoga practice--this is free. Thanks, Donna
