Dear glocals,
I am new to the area, and am looking for recommendations on good gyms. I am currently working at EPFL, however the one gym they have that I have come across is extremely small, and limited in terms of what I am looking for. Before I moved out here (from the US) it was relatively easy for me to find gyms either affiliated with a university, or independent that had plenty of exercise equiptment, free weights, and either a track to run on, or eliptical. When it gets warmer, I expect to do more running outside, but that is beside the point.
Any recommendations for in and around the Lausanne area?

Check out Holmes Place in Lausanne. Its a good place and its all over swiss as well.

agreed on Holmes Place; trying hard, not getting where they wanna be.
HEAVILY overpriced for what it is ....

Have a look at Harmony in Denges http://www.harmony.ch/club-fitness-lausanne-denges.php
It is 2 mn from EPFL, great facilities, a small swimming pool, and not too crowded.
I used to go there 2-3 years ago and i loved it.
