27 Robes - Not Bad
This is a romantic comedy, it was funny because when I saw it there was maybe 40 people in the movie theatre and I was the only men! So you can imagine who the target is for this movie.

The movie is good, no big surprises, not very original beside the idea of the 27 robes, but this is where originality ends. This is a classical love story, a couple of good lines and one or two touching moments. Two sisters, one in love with her handsome and great boss but she cannot find the courage to tell him. Why should we guys always do the first step, the first I love you... why a lady that is in love should not act first? Anyway the guy gets engaged to someone else. I do not want to tell more about the plot but it is a nice comedy. Love, disappointment, hate, redemption, twists...

In a nutshell a classical romantic comedy, well directed because smooth but without big surprises. Light and pleasant.

Indeed.. this was an enjoyable movie which happened to be playing on the plane that I was on last wk :) Not having a TV for the past few years, I have to admit I'd never heard of the main actress Katherine Heigl (from Grey's Anatomy).  She's a very classy actress who I'm sure we'll be seeing more of.  I particularly enjoyed her playful charming style in the scene where she changes into all the 27 dresses from her closet.

The cliche that sometimes we 'think' we're in love with someone turns out to be just an infatuation; instead someone very close to you who you least expect turns out to be your ideal partner.  I've come thus far never being able to say to a guy who I've loved from a distance my true feelings for him, as I would rather continue having the dellusion that maybe he'll like me as time goes on and he get's to know me better. But I am starting to think that guys don't actually react that way.  Face it, most men want to be the hunters rather than be hunted.  So the age old dilemma for women of whether we should wait for the guy to make the move or for us to say 'I Love You' is not as easy as it seems.  Plus cinematography has stereotyped the men making the first move, while the women pine and wait to be asked.  Perhaps once more movies come out with ways for women to persue men, then making the first move may become more mainstream.
