I wanted to see a comedy to switch off from work, it was a nice day for once... so I thought I go to Cinelac... What I like about it it's that when you get bored you can look at the lake and fly away with your mind, it is just a beautiful scenery, the night, the lake, the lights! And I took that liberty!!!
You can simply avoid it... it's a comedy where Diane Keaton plays a possessive mother that wants to find a husband for her daughter... There is nothing truly original and it is so predictable, which would not be bad if it was funny... but it does not really work. Good that there was Mandy Moore (the daughter) she is so sweet playing her clumsy character...
There is this internet dating the mother uses to find the guy but it is unconvincing... not because it is not credible, but it's not original in the way it is used... (if you look for a funny online 'dating' piece in a movie go for Closer, an excellent movie, there is one scene just great!)
The only piece that was really touching is when the mother and daughter talk and the mother tells her that she never had an orgasm... I wonder if my mother had? But I am not going to ask!!!! My parents are rather old and maybe nobody taught them or they were brainwached by the church and society... nobody should live without experiencing it... so guys work harder to understand how she reacts, her complexity and you ladies do not fake, mens need to be put in front of their responsabilities!!! And actually we are a bit more complex than many of you ladies think! It's one of the greatest pleasure on this planet with good food and excellent wine... so do not give up on it!
Sorry got a bit off here, it's late... in short the day this film goes on TV and you have really nothing to do then and only then you can take the risk of watching it...
I do not know when it will come out on screens here but do we really care!!!
