Beowulf

Well I definately did not watch the trailers and look at the posters properly, as I did not realise it was all computer generated images. So was very suprised when the film started. It was fairly enjoyable although very weird and creepy at times. Felt that there were times when it lacked atmosphere and soul, could have used more background music to set the mood. If this had been done with real actors, exactly the same as the animation it would be an absolutely outstanding film, but as far as the film goes I would say 3/5 animations were fairly lifelike, and enjoyable.

Damn, I didn't know it was animated until I saw your review!
I was sure it's a real movie...
Guess that with it being animated, and with your luke-warm review, I'll skip it.
Thanks for the review!

it would have been better to keep the whole thing real instead of using this new movie making technology. or make it into a real animation. as it was, it totally lacked soul... luckily, i wasn't alone when watching it (thanks guys!), so we were able to commiserate over a drink afterwards...
