Die Hard 4
I really didn't expect much from that, and it wasn't any better..
I enjoyed the first three ones, but that one is just another modern action movie, with John McLane going through most of the east cost (and not only in an airport, a building,..) trying to save America from bad hackers. It was really too much at some points (no more bullets? why not try to send your car in an helicopter), but at least it was still funny sometimes.

If i remember correctly, all your last movies were "it was not great, don't go" ;) Do you just watch all and tell us the one to avoid?

I had been waiting to see this movie since I saw the trailers in April. And finally, this Sunday, my dad and I went. I had a headache going into it which got progressively worse, but that still did not keep me from enjoying the pyrotechnics and glib one-liners.
Totally the Y-chromosome equivalent of a chick-flick. An affinity for the U.S. probably increases the enjoyment of the film. It really helps if you actually like my country.
John McClane, words fail me! He truly is like the Timex watch to which he is compared, "takes a licking and keeps on ticking".
And Kevin Smith was in it. That was a lovely surprise. I saw his name on the opening credits and kept looking for him and there he was in the exact type of character you would expect.
My few quibbles: that some of the streets in D.C. were so obviously not (14th street is huge) and Middleton, WV doesn't exist. I would go see it again. In fact, I think it's one of those movies you should see at the drive-in. (I don't think that there are any of those left, though)
But, yeah, definitely not a film for everyone.

Wont say i loved it but did really enjoy it. The original die hard is still my favourite but i think its pretty great they kept this john mclain character running around for so long. He does seem to have lost his "what the hell you doing john" self doubt from the earlier films which is a bit of a shame though, makes him a little less human and more of just a very tough old guy.

Now along with Rocky Balboa we just need to round off 2007/8 with the new Rambo and the new Indiana Jones.

Yes, it's a little incredible by moment (when Bruce destroy an helicopter with a car... or when he walk on a plane...), but very funny and relaxing movie... :o)
