Hi everyone,
I'm not even in Lausanne yet (flying in from Montréal on friday!) but I was very glad to see that it would not be too long before I can hear live a few of the best musicians from Québec (thankfully there are other possibilities than Céline Dion) thanks to the Festival Pully-Québec! Of course, most, if not all, is in french but music speaks all languages, isn't it?
You can check it out here : www.pully-quebec.ch/
You have the more obvious "big" players like Garou (great voice, bad songs in my opinion), Ariane Moffatt (always interesting) and Cowboys fringants but as well some much less famous bands (especially outside Québec) that are clearly worth a look (or a hear)...
Example, I can warmly recommend Chinatown (although I wont be too happy if the show is sold out before I arrive since it doesn't seem possible to book online), I saw them a month ago in Montreal, great energy, great show!
If someone is planning on going there or if you want a totally subjective insight on some of the people playing (I know quite a few although some names don't ring a bell at all), drop me a line!
