Yes i know nothing new about the end of New york city and bloody creatures running after the only hero on earth, i meant the U.S. But i like it, well i hope so, since the movie is on thursday and did already 76 million in the U.S. Will Smith looks always good running for is life. Well not really a christmas movie type, but since i already saw the golden compass for the holidays season, now is my action movie. So who is coming ? don't leave me alone in New York !
I will let you know how was the movie, anyway.

(and of course, you shouldn't give the ending away) but the book has a brilliant, brilliant ending that I bet didn't end up in the film. I'll probably watch it at some point, but if anyone has read the book and seen the film, can they comment?

or vice-versa? I am also wondering if anyone has seen the two previous versions -- Omega Man and the Last Man on Earth (with Vincent Price). Well, with Charlton Heston as one of the last humans, who could help but root for the zombies. . .

spoilers in this post, so if u havent seen it, and want to see it, dont read ahead..
i didnt know earlier that it was adapted frm a book, but i sorta guessed it.. the end feels too hurried according to me..and there are many things left out..for eg: will says that those creatures have lost all human behaviour at one point.. but werent they acting like huamns when they copied his trick of hangin him frm the rope (he did it earlier with the crazy girl) the special effects are cool, and will smith is a good actor.. but i really dont think that the story is all that great..

BBC Four has a radio adaptation that it has been playing recently. It is rather chilling. check the bbc website for more information.

for perverting the true meaning of the title of Matheson's masterpiece. Very few elements of the original plot have been kept, although the living dead are fantastically frightening.
One of the book's more original points was how humans might manage to survive and adapt to miracle cures gone wild and why humans fail at playing God.
Will Smith's acting isn't bad but that's compared to zombies and a dog. Hate to say it but Omega Man (with Charlton Heston) and Last Man on Earth (with Vincent Price) were better and scarier.
