it's a king siye flop. the story line tries to build so much of a non-kong related plot (love, money, etc), that the big ape is not even seen or heard ior mentioned in the first 45 minutes! and even when he does show up, he is not inspiring. We left after 2 hours cos we just couldnt take it anymore, and there was still 1 hour to go...
in short, don't waste your time and money.

believe it or not... me thinks the LOTR geeks severely skewed the votes.
half way thru the movie, the screen went blank, i was like 'sweet! i can get outta here and get my money back.' then i realized it was the intermission, and i was sad..

well, not that i didnt trust Niro & Iolly but had 2 c this movie 4 myself, given all the hype it's had so far.
conclusions...
The ape was the best actor, by far.
Naomi watts had a total of approx. 6 lines, most of which consisted of "eeeeeeekk!!!!", "nooooooooooooooo!!!!"
Best scene - the fight btw the souped up T-Rexes and KK, hilarious!
2nd best scene - man-eating swamp worms eating the cook, hilarious!
Waaaaaaaay too long, so many unecessary scenes and attempts at mini-stories. Looks like Peter Jackson thot this was another LOTR.
Great animation (KK on the Empire State Bldg gave ME vertigo...)
Nuf said.
