Madagascar II - Excellent!
Highloy recommended, and much better than 1.

Same characters, but better settings and jokes. And the creators beefed up significantly the parts of the hilarious co-stars - who often steal the show - King Julian and the Penguins.

In short: I like to move it move it, I like to move it!

Go see it.

No excuse needed...the producers and cinemas know that adults come to watch the movie too, so they do night shows where the theatre is packed with adults only...(-:

Kids will love the movie too, but they will laugh at different things than the adults will laugh at.

I second the review. It builds on the characters from part 1, particularly with the friendship between the Alex (Lion) and Marty (Zebra), and then the unlikely animal combination of the Melman (Giraffe) and Gloria (Hippo) who find each other.  [It's funny how I can visualize David Schwimmer's facial expression each time Melman talks.  I think it's because he's got a very predictable acting style that carries across in everything he does.]

All the key characters from the first film, including the old tough NewYork City lady, the penguins and not sure if the monkeys were there in the original, but I definitely enjoyed it and found myself laughing all throughout the movie.

It just left me in a grovin-movin-mood as I left the theater.  Glad I went to see it see it. :Whistling:
