I bought the new dragonette album called galore the day before yesterday and i am deeply in love with it.
it is elctro-pop at it´s best. if you like goldfrapp and theirlike you love this one.
it is the perfect album for a ride in your convertible on a summer night.
my favourite songs are:
true believer
this song is sexy, and makes everyone wanna go sexy, run their fingers through their hair and lool in sexy poses on the sofa or a beach towel, like kylie did in her slow video.
black limuosine
funny lyrics, perfect song to get ready for a date or a night out in general, although it makes you want to spend someone elses money.
take it like a man
i would say this is electro rock, if that exist, witty lyrics, perfect song to get your self going in the morning. favourite line "Yeah I get a little crazy with the razor blades
Go on and call your Momma if you need a band aid"
This album is on heavy rotation on my ipod and i am sure it will continue to do so for a while. below i have copied a review from a website.
----------------------
You supposedly cannot judge a book by its cover, but in this case you can certainly judge an album by its title: 'Galore' is a sweet, cruel, promiscuous, loving and indeed glorious album.
While the boys in the band play around with the sounds, it's left to singer Martina Sorbara to play with emotions, so that even the cruelty of 'Competition’, an unashamed celebration of adultery, seems adorable. She’s winking over her shoulder at you like a Hollywood starlet.
'Galore' is an eclectic piece of pic-n-mix brilliance, bouncing joyously from one song to the next, revelling in the trashy 'Black Limousine’, indulging in the sublime 'Another Day', leaping from the beat-heavy synthesizer sweetness of 'I Get Around’ to the strutting marvellousness of 'Marvellous,’ with its combination of coy seductress lyrics and Indian drum beats.
'Galore' celebrates everything pop music is supposed to champion: fun, love, lust and sunshine. If Dragonette are, as some would have it, out to save pop music then 'Galore’ is a pretty successful battle cry. Oh, and a bloody brilliant summer album.
