My name is Hallam Foe - Very Good
This is an excellent movie that tells the tale of a young guy that has difficulties accepting the death of his mother and believes that the ex-secretary of his father (for those that have seen the great TV series Rome, the father is the actor that played Caesar in the first Rome sequel) and new wife have something to do with her death. This is for the serious part of the movie. The other part of the movie is about the first steps of the guy into the world of sexuality. The movie is original and fresh. It is really a good moment of cinema.

The guy is 17 years old and I recall my first step in the amazing and magical world of sexuality. What is funny is that we are not really prepared for it. So we go to the discovery of one of the best things in life (the others are food and love) ill equipped. To be honest up to 24 years old I taught I was great and did not really question my capabilities... but then I said to myself... let's spend the next five years to become the best bachelor in town. A great lover and someone successful in my job and by 30 I will find true love and get married. With this great objective in mind I started to read and ask questions about sex, to experience and discover how the woman's body really reacts to all the different little attentions one can imagine... and... and... Well because of few choices I made in my professional life and some family matters I chose to solve by myself, things did not turn out as expected. But in the end it allowed me to pursue my learning which was fine by me and gave me the opportunity to meet some really great ladies. Today I am happy and excited by what lies ahead...

For me movies are fun because I see some aspects of my life in them, some of the dreams I did not realise and some of the ones I did... I see what mistakes I should not do (but I will do others, do not worry)... and then it can inspire you as well. That's why I love movies that talk about everyday's life.

Well back to this Hallam, he runs away from home and falls in love with a young lady. He lives on the roofs of Edinborough and spies on this girl... until...

In a nutshell, this movie is really good although the guy is somewhat weird. This is a nice moment of cinema, if you do not know what to do by a rainy day, give it a try.

The text you are quoting:
