Nanny's Diary
This is a comedy based on a best selling US novel... I haven't read the book but it is something in the tone of The Devil wears Prada; those witty written American books that are a good laugh and portray a life style in a caricatured tone.

The movie is an 'anthropology' study of the peculiar and weird fauna living in the most expensive area in Manhattan. They are investment bankers, lawyers, advertising gurus... name it. May be it is somewhat exaggerated how little they care about the day to day life of their own children, although they have planned everything from day one till university.

The story is about a nanny, that tries to bring a human touch to the life of this 'poor' kid... No wonder some of these kids end up completly disfunctional! The nanny has not much consideration from her employers but she does not feel like abandoning the little boy to his own fate. Sometimes even if it would be better to give up, you do not feel like giving up. Even if in the end these are not your problems.

Nice idea not to show the face of the father when she first meets him, showing he is just absent. These people live on another planet, for sure.

In short a nice comedy, nothing too original but light and funny.
