I have great memories of the original TV series and to see the youth of the major characters was quite entertaining and I would say it was quite well imagined. As for the story if you are not a fan of Science Fiction you might be lost by the past that meets the future and twists the present.
Time travel is one of the most controversial science fiction myth. The movie plays well around it. Who has never dreamed to go back in time and change a few things... I would go back few years and just change two minutes of my life, I am sure that things would have been quite different by now and all this with just a very small change. But as another science fiction myth states, there is another myself that probably acted differently at that moment and is enjoying an excellent life I guess. I cannot complain, summer is finally here and despite the crisis, things are going pretty well for me... so I am certainly not complaining. And what ever the past, the future is ahead of us and it is ours to shape the way we want it to be.
In a nutshell this is an excellent movie, highly enjoyable for the fans and as Vulcan says: Live long and prosper!
