This is the story of a woman that has a disease and the odds of surviving are slim. They look at the family members to find a donor that is compatible with her.
You would think that a drama will unite a family, will give them strength and they would stick to each other. However, this family is completely crazy. Only the father (grandfather) is a good person and pretty normal. I think he is called Abel (the good guy form the bible, the author plays with the names). You want to hug him and say thank you for giving a touch of kindness in this crazy family. And the kids are already weird? One is schizophrenic a scary disease.
The movie is strange and at times difficult to go into. I was not convinced, may be just because beside the one character the others were rather unlovable. However you should not judge a movie by its characters, but by what/how it tells the story and how well it is filmed. And on these aspects, the movie is good. But a movie is emotions too and this one did not inspire me. Usually I love these movies that talk about everyday's life and how people live through the different challenges they encounter, just a slice of life. But I was not convinced by this one, again not only because there was so much hatred between those family members but something was missing.
In a nutshell, this long movie is only worth seeing if you want to reassure yourself that your family is not that psychotic in the end!
