The movie touches the sadly true fact that the nicer you are to people the less you receive back. Those from you that are nice people understand this. Like in your job if you are too nice other people take advantage of it... you move ahead in a slower pace than those that are sharks! However when you are nice it is in you... it is hard to become more selfish just like that even if it would be in your interest.
I am too good... not that I am a saint and I certainly do mistakes but I cannot cheat, be unfair and take undue advantage. It is this stupid judeo-christian upbringing that hunts me ;). Good that I have been able to get rid of it for certain aspects of my life!!! but is it in my job our with family I end to be too nice. Too much ethic can be hard to manage! The sad thing is that being nice has no value today and you are looked at as a fool. But remember the beatles' song the 'Fool on the hill', I like that one a lot!
In a nutshell the movie is fine, not exciting... you can wait for the dvd or when it shows on TV.
When I said last year that 2008 would be a difficult year I did not expect it to be that bad. 2009 won't be easy, jobs will be lost but I do not think it is the end of the world. People tend to be too pessimistic when the recession hits. I wish that the dvd 'Happy Go Lucky' was out so that I could really boost my spirit watching an excellent comedy. Vilaine failed to do so but remains an OK movie.
Nothing to do with the movie but I really enjoyed Christmas this year because the illumination of Geneva were excellent. I love this period of the year, when I had money and when I did not; I always enjoyed this period with good food, family and happiness. No exception this year even if this has been my toughest year since I have started working... I am looking forward to 2009 because some good movies are coming out!
Best wishes to all of you and happy new year!
