Air Force One
For me, I struggle to think of the worst ones as it's probably a defense mechanism in my head to shut it out as quickly as possible.
However, I think Quantum of solace has to be right up there with them.
Their idea of a Bond villain has gone from Odd Job or Jaws to Rowan Atkinson in Blackadder the First (I could really see how that pudding basin haircut would strike fear into even the more hardened secret agent). The South American contact was ginger and couldn't speak Spanish - perfect for blending in.
As for 007 himself, I realised he'd become exactly like me aged 17: drove a Ford, crap at riding a motorbike and when faced with a hot woman, he'd chicken out of asking her out.

Beowulf stole 115 minutes of my life which i can never get back..
I would have to say “To Kill a Mockingbird”.
What a waste of 129 minutes in which I learned nothing about how to kill a mockingbird.

I think 2005 was a terrible year for remakes, The Fog, King Kong and The Wicker Man. This is the time when you can actually use the phrase 'totally lost the plot' and mean it!
One example - I don't remember the original King Kong going for a quick skate in Central Park...

Tree of life
Ghost Rider, Starman and Prizzi's Honor.
The Happening.
It was as the entire cast was competing to be worse than each other, and putting up a pretty darn good fight, too.

Flash Gordon, though it's so bad it starts to become awesome! And the title track by Queen rules.
Ok, my vote, Time Runner starring Mark Hamill. This movie review on youtube basically sums it up...

Does "The Room" count as a valid worst movie choice?
Or has that reached the level of cult awesomeness??

Pirates of the carribean was one

Did you say 'Cult'?....
Yes...I don't know what the perception is here, but back in the US, midnight screenings of The Room are crazy messes of people jeering, chanting, and throwing plastic spoons.

I'd never heard of it (luckily) and just looked it up now on Wiki. I think I made it halfway through the 2nd paragraph before I blacked out in sheer boredom.
Thanks for the heads up.

What the flying fekk was that all about? Gave me a headache with the jiggly camera and a huge thirst to get to the bar to black out any memory of seeing it.
Beowolf comes a close second.

Saving Private Ryan - controversial I know but after the 1st 20 minutes it really is a snooze-a-thon
and the opposite
Fire In The Sky - very tedious for the first hour or so then the last 10 minutes are brilliant
tbh you dont volunteer to see bad movies so there is always that element of expectation
a subtly differtent thing - biggest disappointments...Pulp Fiction and Trainspotting

LOOOOOL. Excellent!!!!!
I will try Zombie Nation... a brilliant 1.6 rating out of 10 on IMDB
UPDATE - yes Zombie Nation IS the worst film I have seen
Dancer in the Dark. The audience (at least, the half of it that hadn't left yet) cheered and clapped when dedicated, blind mother Bjork got hanged - as they could all go home. And if you want to know why i was still there: I had been dragged by a friend who liked it so much the first time that she decided to return to make sure i would not miss it. Goes to show every movie has its fans!

IT was called Its Alive, about a baby who rips its way out of its mothers womb and goes on a killing frenzy. You dont actually see the baby until near the end. It was supposed to be horror but the audience were in stitches for most of it.

I would have to say Sex and the City 2. Absolutely everything about that movie is just plain wrong! All the girls do in the movie is bitch moan and complain about how hard their lives are when they have everything they ever wanted and more! Charlotte has a huge house with a nanny and finally has a baby of her own which she tried so hard to get in the series, and then she locks herself in the closet and cries when things get a little rough - and she thinks the nanny is sleeping with her husband!
Carrie has room to herself, a huge apartment and a loving husband. But when he buys her a huge TV for the bedroom, she doesn't like it and prefers going out with him. And when she sees him simply talking to another woman, she gets insecure and wants to go back home immediately. Pathetic! And then they get pre paid trip to Abu Dhabi, living an even luxurious life to the full which they don't deserve, invited by Samantha - what happens? They disrespect the muslim culture. The least they could do was to have a little respect when they're recieving such a generous gift, but no.
This is the recession - and showing all these women that have huge houses and appartments, loving families and husbands - the things that most people have clawed, bled dry and killed to get all thier lives (and some don't even have it) and piss and moan to the extreame about the tiny things that bother them is just outrageous!
But even with all of that, nothing is as bad compared to the ending. The movie should have ended with the message that you should be happy about what you've got and not complain about the tiny things that bug you. But oh no! All of the girl's "problems" are resolved in the end: Charlotte's nanny turns out to be a lesbian, so she longer feels threatened by her. Carrie and Big automatically resolve their problems, Miranda (after being undermined by a male colleague and quitting her job) also automatically finds a work place where she is appreciated - and Samantha stays her old self and cheats on the one man who really meant anything to her.
No, it's not a happy ending because it doesn't make people feel better about themselves because there are no real problems.

It has to be "No smoking"
Titanic.
Not because it was worse than much other stuff, but because of the massive hype making us believe it was actually worth wasting time on thus making the disappointment much bigger.
I stopped taking the academy awards serious after watching this piece of crap win "best movie". Box Office obviously counts more than artistic value.
At least when you watch "drive angry" you expect shit ......... and it delivers.

I also saw this (for my sins!) What a load of total shite! Bunch of whining New York twats! (or as Peter Griffin in Family Guy put it, "Isn't that the show about a prostitute and her three daughters?" I think I'd prefer to attend the autopsy of a beloved relative than have to watch anything as bad as that again!

The thing about this thread is that (for me anyway), I've actually blanked the films I want to mention! I just remembered about Inception, where you could have this amaaaaAAAaaazing idea of having dreams within dreams which altered your perception of time and OH MY GOD! Wasn't this, like, soooOOooo incredible!
No. It wasn't. It was a load of CGI filled self-indulgent crap that went nowhere. I've done the conversations with people who told me, "Oh well, you clearly didn't understand the conception of varying time distortion within levels of dreams." Not true. I did. (I've attached this to help anyone understand who can be bothered:http://flowingdata.com/2010/08/04/inception-dream-levels-explained-in-flowchart/),
For me I also experience time distortion - for what was actually 2 hours or so, this felt more like a few days in real time! I did have only one thought while I was watching this - at some point this will finish and I'll be able to leave this cinema.

I have seen my fair share of bad movies.... The last one was New years eve.... basically a cheap Hollywood imitation of the much nicer, better made UK film titled "love"
The original British film called Love is about how several situations develop around Christmas.... somehow they're all connected and they all end up related to loving somebody or falling inlove with somebody....... Is a nice feel good movie.
The American version "New years eve" however has a horrendous plot, and the stories inside the movie are not even connected with one another, and of course filled with the boring predictable crap that Hollywood has gotten us accostumed to.
The obnoxious cast makes it unbearable to watch:
Ashton Kutcher (with his eternal "frat dude lemme smack a beer can against my head" personality that never ceases to annoy lots of people)
Jessica Biel (with her overrated looks, she's beautiful because FHM and Maxim said so!)
Sarah Jessica Parker (an "actress" often portrayed as extremely beautiful and young by Hollywood producers... eventhough she's almost 50 and plays the same Sex in the city role on every movie she does)
Bon Jovi (who can't act to save his life, why does he even try?)
Zac Efron (yes that same teenage throb that annoyed us a lot a few years ago is back, he might not be a "cool" teenager anymore but he's still annoying!)
Halle Berry (the epithome of overrated..... The "I suffer a lot in my 5 million dollar mansion because I am a black woman" and "there are not enough protagonic roles for black women out there") maybe because she takes them all!
The only worth thing about this movie is Michelle Pfeifer... GREAT ACTRESS!!!! and Robert De Niro (why were they even in this movie?)
Other than that..... don't waste your time with that movie, is nothing but more cheesy Hollywood garbage!
