I'm usually no big fan of crime stories but this movie is an exception, it is riveting and I enjoyed it very much. Based on a true story, about a psychopathic serial killer in the 60's and 70s in the San Francisco area, the story is solid, its rhythm is slow as it goes into great detail, and the characters are no super heroes, they're quite bland actually, but they real.
I recommend it, with caution, it is not meant for zappers - my enjoyment wasn't shared by a fellow viewer who went comatose almost at the start.

I recently saw this movie and really enjoyed it too. It may be because I am from the San Francisco area and know the locations in the movie really well. I was also riveted because I lived through the time of the “Night Stalker” (another random serial killer on the loose in the San Francisco Bay Area) and was convinced we were going to be his next target. I must admit, the movie was a bit slow at times, but for me I was on the edge of my seat.
