No it's not, just do whatever it is that you like to do and the rest will come by itself...

For example, you organize an event / programme yourself.

I could not see anyone organizing a group for 2nite for open air cinema near to La Perle du Lac.

https://www.facebook.com/cinetransat/?fref=nf

Internations also organizes events. You go there and you get to know people.

Sign up for hikes.

Start learning French in evening classes. Again, you will have new connections.

Go to the gym - it is a sportive country.

Buyclub often has cooking classes. Why not enroll in one?

There are also often here dinners organized. You also could organize one....

Finally, look up if there is a Polish group / associations. You will definitely find people. There might be even a Catholic mass in Polish....and of course there is a very good Catholic community at this parish https://www.johnxxiii.ch/

If you want to date, look up the forum, there have been tons of discussions about dating sites.

Geneva /Switzerland despite of being international is less open than for example Polish people for fun. So you need to be active instead of waiting for people to ask you to join them, you have to be the one who suggests things very often.

So complaining here that you are lonely wont get you too far. In fact we have people every year doint the same.

Good luck.

Ps. Dont forget we are in the middle of summer. Many people are on holidays.

Try to get a ticket and as you can see, there is someone who wants to go and not alone....

if you like animals:

you always can gome and help here: http://www.sos-chats.ch/

http://www.sgpa.ch/promenades/ on Sundays you can help walking the dgos at the promenade.

1st of August is also coming. E.g. Organize a picnic in Parc de Bastions, followed by the fireworks.

Afterwork drinks at La Terrasse. You alwys can ask your colleagues. Trust me, you will be soon popular.
