A newbie saying hello

I read about this site in the paper today and decided to check it out. Was surprised to find it so active and full of interesting topics and people. I have lived in Lausanne since 1995 and have many friends, but would be very happy to meet new people. If you read my profile you will see that I have a great love for food and books. Not mentioned is a fondness of playing cards... Jass with my Siss friends and Scopa with my Italian friends.

Hi,
I just arrived in Switzerland a couple of months ago... unfortunately I've been travelling a lot so i didn't have time to meet a lot of new people.
Hopefully I can spend some more time on that as of now... I also like good food (cooking by myself or going to a nice restaurant) and in the Netherlands I was playing cards a lot but here I didn't find anybody yet who is doing that as well. So maybe you can learn me some Swiss and Italian card games!!
