About to start a Master's in International Affairs in Geneva. Looking for people interested in sustainability, languages, politics etc.

Hi everybody!

My name is Joachim and I'm a 24-years-old Austrian who will start a Master's degree in International Affairs at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in September.

Coming from an environmental background (I hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management), but convinced of the importance of interdisciplinarity, I am looking for people interested in sustainability (be it with an environmental, social or economic focus), who share my longing for social and environmental change.

As a foreign language geek (apart from my native language German I speak English, French, Spanish and Polish, and just finished a beginner's course in Turkish), I am also hoping to meet people to exchange language skills, e.g. in the form of Tandem (ideally for Turkish).

Being a newbie in Geneva, I am hoping to find Glocals who can show me around a little.

I am eager to get to know people from other cultures and background. I am hoping to meet people who share my fascination with hour-long discussions about politics, philosophy, psychology, sociology and pretty much everything else that makes our human existence so exciting.

Coming back to more mundane things, I would also like to mention that I am in desperate need for affordable accommodation in Geneva from September onwards. If you're looking for a flatmate or are renting a room - or know somebody who does - please let me know!

Looking forward to seeing you!
