This looks like the place to make my introduction.... so (drum roll) : Hello!
I'm a 31 year old professional surf photographer and IT guy from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. I've been in Zurich for one month and 2 days ;) where I am living with my German girlfriend who works for a Swiss photography company.
The weather and people here are completely different than in Hawaii and it's taking a bit of getting used to. I've traded sun and smiles for what I say is probably the polar opposite. Even though I walk around Zurich with a smile on my face and smile and say hello to people, I still have yet to get a greeting back from someone. Even though my percentage of responses is low, I'll still keep trying to spread some aloha.
Since I'm unfortunately here right now on a U.S. travel visa, I can unfortunately not work and am limited to this odd 3/6 month visiting stuff, but that's another thread in a different forum so I'll save all this nonsense for a different time and place.
At any rate, I thought I'd share a few pictures with you that I've taken in Hawaii, as well as a few that I've taken here around Zurich. Can you spot the different between these two places? :P
