Moin Moin ;)
I have seen this website and thought... well that's already a good way to start! Thanks for the GoL founders and helpers!! I know such community already from a US city (council for international visitors), but I know also it is - however - very seldom in cities...though very great and helpful. I am happy to have found such similar community again and am looking forward to what comes :)
Just moved here few weeks ago from north of Germany (therefore "Moin Moin") and have the intention also to stay ;) So far Geneva has been a really nice place. I was at the GoL UN beach party, Lake Parade, some restaurants and bars, watching football everywhere in the city (where I found also some other German fans ;)...just did not manage to go swimming and still need a Paleo ticket for Saturday!
Besides always these kind of chaotic beginnings of moving to a new place (finding right places to stay, burocratic things etc) where opinions from other people always help very much... I would like to find here friends for sharing good times as well.
Some of my interests are of course are languages (French very beginner, spanish, tried Norwegian too), listening to lots of music, doing some sports incl biking, sailing, playing trumpet, dancing salsa, enjoying nature, good food cooking, designing and painting. Open for everything basically, especially for open beer and wine bottles :P As soon as I am able to find a nice and payable apartment I could also host small parties.
Otherwise I have knowledge to solve any bits and bytes problems (webdesign, programming etc). My second profession is biomedical engineering.
I guess that was my short introduction ;)
