hi all,
I'm transferring to Geneva for 6 months for my company and it seems they have picked the worst 6 months for me to be there based on most people's comments, Nov through April! I love to ski but also like to party. Are there any decompression parties or Burning Man-like events in or near Geneva??

Truly, there's no bad time to move/be in Geneva. With GOL, there's always lots going on and you've managed to schedule in ski season perfectly. Nov/Dec ain't great, but you'll settle in and find your way around and then the pistes will be ready for you. You'll be skiing straight through April; I imagine you'll be on the slopes the hours before you go to the airport for the last time.
And as for Burning Man, Geneva is kind of the anti-Burning Man, the antithesis of Burning Man, the opposite extreme of Burning Man, but we're still really nice here. :)

I would have to agree with MissKate...but there's a ton of other stuff here.
But hey, maybe you could be the local burning man pioneer around here...(-:
welcome to town mate.

I look forward to seeing all that Switzerland has to offer. Skiing and Fondue and nice dinner/game parties in the winter?
