Hi Everyone,

I'm a PhD student and have been in Bern since September but only just discovered the site. Even though I'm half Swiss, this is my first time living here for more than a couple of months, so it's certainly an interesting experience. I was determined to mix with the locals, but it seems that it's not so easy, given that most of my department consists of Germans and Swiss society is rather closed.

So I'm interested in joining in on any social activities and look forward to meeting you.
