Back from Japan...

Hi everyone!

I am a Swiss national who lived in Japan (Tokyo) for 7 years and just came back...

Although not originally from Geneva, I started working here in a communication agency 2 weeks ago and would like to make new friends. I am a sport fan (especially hiking and swimming) but also like to enjoy a good bottle of wine.

I am looking forward to meeting you!

Hi Natacha,

Welcome back in Switzerland. You must be jetlag and will certainly be confronted to a reverse culture-shock !

I'm Swiss national, from Geneva, and used to live for 10 years in Bangkok. Being a farang or a geijing is for sure a great life-time experience, but coming back from Asian countries after so many years is indeed The real culture-shock !

Warm Regards,

Roger

Hi Roger,

Thanks for your nice message. Yes, it is a real culture shock. I didn't expect it would hit that hard, but it does. How long did it take you to get adjusted to Swiss life again??

Kind Regards,

Natacha

Hi, Natacha, seems like we switched our countries between us...Tongue out over the last many years.

I am sure I know about Geneva a way much better than you! as I am here over 17 years. Ask this Japanese at any time about Geneva of your country, it will be my pleasure! (sounds really strange...) Undecided

 Hi Natacha,

o kaerinasai / welcome back!

and in case you feel nostalgic about Japan at times, you will find several Japan-related groups on glocals such as the Sushi Society, the Haiku Experience Group, etc.
