Welcome from another raised-and-born Genevan. Socializing on Glocals is more simple and direct than between Genevans, that's really refreshing. I can only encourage you to attend activities (and why not organize some yourself). That's what I've been doing for more than 5 years now. It made me meet tons of very nice people, have lots of fun and discover plenty of things. So don't be shy, jump into the water and enjoy !
