British intern new in Geneva

Hey all!

My name's James and I'm about to start an internship with the NGO International Bridges to Justice in Geneva. Needless to say the prospect of moving to another country where I don't know anybody and barely speak the language is exciting and scary in equal measure!

It'd be awesome to meet some Geneva people on here, especially other people working for NGOs =)

Hi James! When do you start your internship? I'm an Australian grad student about to undertake an internship with Edmund Rice International (NGO) in September, so I know what you mean about exciting and scary! The preparation to move alone is overwhelming! Would love to hear about your experiences settling in - at least then I might be able to get some idea about what's in store for me!

Nice to meet you! :)

Hi James, I'm also a brit doing an internship :) I'll be here for a year, how long will you be staying in Geneva? I've been here 5 days and whilst I'm loving it it would be great to meet some nice people to socialise with!
