I moved to the Geneva area (just over the border in France) from the UK in July and have been looking for work since I arrived. I've covered most of the obvious bases (constant searches of all the websites, phone calls and letters to companies etc.) and I was hoping that some friendly glocals members might be able to give me some more leads to follow - perhaps in the companies you work for, or anywhere in the English speaking community here.

In my last position in London I taught video editing and media skills (sound recording, filming etc.) at the University of London as a media technician, and before that I was a full time video editor. My degree is in Photography. The problem I seem to have is that my profile is quite specific and although I know I have the skills to do quite a few different things I don't have the exact qualifications to back up my belief! I basically need someone to give me a chance.

I'm happy to call, send my CV to, come and visit anyone who might be able to help me in my job hunt .. so I do hope to hear from some of you soon.
