Coming soon...!
Hey all,

My husband and I will be moving to Geneva in just over a month-- woot! I've joined several Yahoo Groups for expats in Geneva, but none of them seem to be very active... I'm hoping this will be a better place for meeting people and getting questions answered. =)

About me... I was born in Chile, moved to the US when I was 11, lived in Texas through college, then moved to California with the hubby upon graduation. We've been here for 3.5 years, and now are on our way out to Switzerland and are both incredibly excited about this. The hubby is an avid outdoor sportsman, practically obsessed with anything having to do with tall mountains (skiing, snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, etc) so you can just imagine his excitement at being so close to the Alps.

I'm an AMI certified Montessori teacher (and LOVE it). Don't know if I'll get to work in Geneva though... something about visas, etc. Instead I'll be devoting my time mostly to trying to learn French (will sign up soon for an intensive class through the Migros school) and entertaining the many friends and family that we expect to come through and visit. ; )

I hear Geneva has a good salsa dancing scene. If anyone knowns much about this, we'd love to find out good places to go dancing. I'd also love to meet other Spanish speakers, and people willing to let me practice my pigeon French with them. =)
