Coming to Geneva

Hi all,

I am coming to Geneva soon, would appriciate it if someone can shed some light on below:

What is the good lively area to live?and what is the rough monthly rental for a upmarket/decent 1 bed or 2 bed flat for professional?Apart from this website, is there any other website for rental property?

I am thinking of buying a car, would it be cheaper to buy car from dealer in neighbouring French town? Where do I find a driving instructor for a few lessions?

Many thanks

the most popular website is homegate.ch.  I believe it has everything.  The most popular neighborhoods for what you are describing are Eaux Vives, Carouge, Plainpalais and Champel (altho more expensive).  I would say that you are in the range of 2500CHF.  You might be lucky to get something for a bit less for 1-bedroom.  But do not be surprised if it goes even higher than 3,000CHF.  I do not have a car so I cannot help you there.  :(
