Hey there. I had visions of spending my summer hanging out with people by the lake enjoying wine and maybe some music until the late summer vespers. I guess I need a new plan. Suggestions anyone?
Anyone interested in seeing the Lake Parade tomorrow? I saw a flyer advertising that it was safe. Methinks that if an event is safe, you wouldn't need to advertise it as such. Anywho, I want to take a look. Is this a gay pride event, a techno-pride event, both, or neither?
Cheers,
Dan (from California (United States of America))

Yeah, it's cold and rainy and wet and gray, and this is... summer.
If you're from CA you're in for a jolt dude, welcome to Geneva.

When it rains, and your loved one complains about it, it is a wonderful opportunity to say: "well, a little rain is always good for beautiful flowers like yourself". I know it sounds a bit corny here, but when a fellow told me that, I found myself blushing and blinking, LOL!! How eloquent and gentlemanlike to say something like that! Doesn't exist much anymore nowadays :o(
Anyhow, gentlemen, not many women like the rain. So it's a grand opportunity to say or do something charming. Don't wait until she says she's freezing or that you aren't holding the umbrella right. Be the first to ask, do or say so! :-)
Wish you all well.
PS:I like all the different smells that come up when it rains, like wet tarmac and the lake, and the grass and flowers smell different too somehow, when you are walking through a park.

and they even have a coffee-shop /caf?.
As Roberta points out so poignantly, smells are enhanced by the rain. The Jardin Botanique is no exception.
