Hello everyone,
My wife and I are moving to the Pays de Gex this summer to be closer to her family (she is a native of the area). I'll be leaving behind a job teaching film making and photography in the University of London and looking for any kind of work I can find here! People tell me that I will find something .. so fingers crossed ... touch wood .. I will! I've been looking in all the obvious places and I've applied for a few things, but if anyone has any suggestions (or even better useful contacts) I'd be most grateful.
We have also been looking for a flat to rent but that's a whole different story which I won't bore you with! I've read about some of the experiences you all have had and I'm trying not to be too downhearted! :)
Hopefully I'll be able to come along to some of the very interesting looking activities when I arrive!
Cheers,
Tim

Hey Tim,
Big welcome to you and your family. Now that's love - leaving your country and job to move closer to the inlaws! :)
Re jobs, try the media dept at Webster University. They have a video dept, and may be looking for teachers in English...let me know if I can help.

Thanks NIr. :)
Webster would indeed be an ideal employer for me. I better get one of my best speculative introduction letters sorted out to send. I'll also be looking for anything in the creative / photography / film making areas so if anyone has any contacts who might be able to help me then I'd love to speak to them as well.
