Having arrived in Geneva yesterday to start work at an NGO on Monday, I'm quite happy that a random bus buddy recommended I check out this site. The GOl community has already established itself as my 'go to' for all things Geneve!
A brief intro:
-I last lived in Philly (where I'm originally from) for 6 months while taking a self-proclaimed sabbatical for 5 months
-Prior to that I was in grad school for international health
-Before that lived in Paris working for a UN agency
-And bfeore that, I was working in Botswana
Though I've briefly lived in Geneva before (while in college), I currently don't know anyone in the city, so I'm looking for like-minded people who enjoy: eating, traveling, eating, happy hour, cooking (which encompasses eating), outdoorsy 'stuff,' eating, exploring areas outside of Geneva, and well, eating.
Looking forward to 'profiter-ing' from this site! Thanks for the helpful info.

I must say that Kate jumped in with two feet this weekend, jetlag and all! After finding out about GOL on Friday and spending two days exploring Geneva, she joined a few of us for pre-Sindy party drinks and then hit Spring Fling!
It was wonderful to have you join us Kate and I'm sure we will see you at many more activities to come=)
Hope you recovered in time for your first day of work!!
