From NYC to GVA

Hello!

I just moved from New York with my husband and we are looking for an apartment on the left bank. Although everyone says it take a lot of time, and we need a place by the end of January, brokers don't seem to be planning on moving a finger before after the holidays.  Any advice?  I'm checking immostreet and the ads here in glocals, but I feel we are not getting anywhere.

We are also in a sort of cultural shock when it comes to urban life...any good spots to check out?

Thanks!

Angelina

Hi Angelina,

Another good site to check is homegate.ch

Trying to get a relocation agent to help you right before the holidays will be quite difficult.  Is your employer assisting you with the relocation ?  Do you speak French ?  If you provide a little more information, you will get better advice from glocal members.

Geneva is a lovely city.  We are originally from the suburbs of NY and have enjoyed every minute in Geneva.

Good luck with your move.
