From USA to Switzerland
Hi Everyone,:w00t:

We moved to Winterthur ZH from Texas-USA, about 2 months ago. What a beautiful place to live. I am originally from South-Africa, hubby Swiss. Teenage son loves it here, especially the public transport. (now he can go places without me having to drive him there).  He is in an English International School, but very eager to learn German.  We would love to meet other families with teenagers. :)

wow.. from Texas to Winterthur must be a change indeed:blink: especially with the weather.  hope you don't get too down once autumn, winter and spring rolls around. Not sure what it's like out there but we here in Geneva surely find it tough sometimes when w don't see the sun for days on end at times.

Haven't heard much folks from Winterthur.. so you may have to venture out to Zurich for some fun events.  best to try and capture other friends around you as you meet them and have em join this neat forum. that's the only way to spread the boundaries outside of Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Basel, Bern, .... we're trying to get the Ticino region to grow, but perhaps the Italian side of the country are just better time socially mingling :)

Looking forward to hearing what it's like out there on your part of the country!

Yumiko (also from the US...sorta)
