G'day - Newbie from Australia

G'day to everyone,

I just wanted to say, what a great site and that it's been barely a week I'm in Geneva and we already feel like locals with all the info here.

I just arrived with my girlfriend from Australia and we're looking for work. We both like the outdoors and we've just ridden our motorcycle from Sydney to Norway and now we're here looking to meet new people and get into the Geneva lifestyle.

I like beer, volleyball, tennis, snowboarding and motorcycling... especially motorcycles.

We look forward to joining some of the events and meeting other glocals.

Cheers,

Pascal

G'day, welcome to Geneva.  Riding a motorcycle from Sydney to Norway is very impressive. I'm guessing you're pretty resourceful but if you need any advice or help from a (sort of) Australian who has been here for a few years, just let me know.

G'Day,

Hey Guys, Australia is such a great country I've spend more than a year exploring it.

I applyed for a Visa but got "stopped" by the crisis. My dream would be to migrate tomorrow......

And you guys, are travelling the half world to come here !? Don't you let somehow a job open there ? Any exchange possible Innocent ?

Few things are difficult to anderstand.... at least for me

Anyway, wish you good time in Switzerland (not really actually, Geneva is what, all !?).

Cheers

Thanks for all the positive responses it's great to be already part of a community. We're looking forward to the next drinks night and we'll get round to joining some more activities once we've found an appartment and a job.

I wouldn't know what it's like to ride through an ocean as there is a regular ferry service by boat from Darwin to Dili so no need to get wet ;)

You can fish and there is a restaurant and duty free shopping on board. Occasionally there are some asylum seekers but usally they get feed to the sharks for entertainment.
