Hi everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I am 27-year old Dane who is making his way to Geneva in mid-August to work for the UN. I had a friend who lived in Geneva for a while and he had a lot of nice things to say about the city so I'm really looking forward to my move (just have to clear that significant "finding-a-place-to-live"-hurdle first).
Figured I would join this site as it seemed like a good place to look for info, events and other interesting stuff to do. Am big into sports and it looks like I will have to take up skiing again (seems a shame to not take advantage of it...even if I haven't seen a pair of skies or a snowboard in about 8 years)
Meant to add a picture but have to wait until I'm back on my own laptop.

Hi Julian and welcome in advance to Switzerland
You seem the sports type. Switzerland is a great place for outdoor activities. As for social life, glocals takes care of it...
