Hey Jet... I always had a dream of becoming a pilot when I was younger.  Just took my first flight lesson in Scottsdale, Arizona--two months ago, and only one month before I moved here.  I'm a travel junkie (20 countries in 5 years), and hope to get back up in the air again some time soon.

Speaking of flying, I saw postings for paragliding groups (lessons) on this site a while back.  Just went to Annecy lake in France and saw the paragliders along the mountain ridges--amazing!  I just might be inspired to fly again soon!

FYI, there are some events coming up for 'newbies'... happy hours that bring new members together.  I went to one, and plan to go to more.  Very cool, engaging and open-minded people!

I was just speaking in another topic in this part of the forum (new member intros) about organizing a Glocals fly-in. I don't know if you guys would be interested but I think its worth considering...
