Welcome to glocals and "welcome" to Geneva.

To get the most out of glocals, be sure to check out the Things To Do page accessible through the horizontal menu at the top. Every day there are activities that you can sign up for - parties, language exchange, movie groups, skiing, hiking, dancing, new member drinks, etc. - or you can post something yourself and invite people to join you. It's a great way to meet people. I daresay you missed the glocals sponsored event over the weekend - the glocals Christmas ball. It's a big thing, but they do 3-5 such parties a year. Spring, Summer, Halloween, Christmas, etc. Keep on the lookout for them.

Also, check out the Classifieds, Guides (members rate local businesses), and Forums (place to ask or answer questions or just talk about Men and Women and Planets). Very active and often quite fun.

Finally, the Groups. Join groups that interest you. That way you'll find lots of people who want to do the same things on a regular basis - German Stammtisch, Salsa dancing, CinéTransat, Entrepreneurs group, etc.

Random question to start out with but just because of where you grew up. Have you ever played field-hockey before?

Anyway welcome again to glocals

Well, i found out about the The Things To Do page,and there a some interesting things! I am sure to attend to some of them very soon!

4:00 am ?!  Yeah... I dont sleep at night.  That's when I get active.
Im not a morning person, so that's when I sleep...when everybody else has to get up...  :-p 

Then the randon question... no I dont play field-hockey, but my fiance does, he played several years ice-hockey. So if you need a male player, he would be your guy.

Hi Bella - a warm welcome to Switzerland, Im sure you will soon find lots of interesting things to do, for you are open to life which is very good. Well do come and visit Basel when you feel like I will be more than pleased to show you around.  But then I suggest that you come during the Carneval time which will be on the 17th of February - 20th February 2013. Its very interesting.

With that said have a great time in Switzerland, people are friendly and interesting when you give them a chance to be.
