Hello :) new to glocals and to Switzerland....learning languages here.

So, I'm from Portugal but I lived until I was 20 in Brazil. I'm working here in Switzerland as au pair (three kids who can be either really sweet or quite troublesome) since August. To long and not to long at the same time...And I'm also learning german and english (both C1). Here at glocals I'm looking to meet new people, who are also open minded as expats tend to be :) Practice some sports would be also cool. Unfortunately I'm still a newby at skiing. Exchange ideas about books (love to read!!)

I'm trying to find a tandempartner (english or german) too. If any one has interest in leraning portuguese maybe we could work something out :) I had already a Tandempartner to learn german and it worked really well. So I have some experience in teaching my own native language. To convince people of learning portuguese here are some interesting stuff (music: fado, bossa nova, etc please don't tell me michel tello :P_literarature: nobel winner Saramago, fernando pessoa, machado de assis, etc_movies: central do brasil, o auto da compadecida, tropa de elite, etc_sports: 2014 football world cup, 2016 olympic games_travel: a lot of people in Brazil don't speak english and there's a lot of incredibles places to see there, the mega city São Paulo, New Years Eve in Copacabana, the whole coastline, Pantanal, Amazonia, and in Portugal Porto, which is a low cost flight away from here, Coimbra the student city, Lisboa)

Cheers

Diana

Hi Diana,

Welcome to Switzerland!  I do hope you enjoy your first winter!  keep warm, and watch out for the icy roads!

Olá Diana!

I would say "welcome" but I arrived later than you -.-'

The only language I could teach it was portuguese, but I'm pretty sure you are  just fine with that one :)

Olá Luís,

pois com o português até que me saio bem. Mas aposto que notarias umas diferenças no meu sotaque :) Ainda não fui visitar Lausanne, mas é bom ter um contacto por aí. Boa sorte com a nova vida!
