Hello! New guy from Italy

Hi everyone!


I'll be moving from Italy to Lausanne (uhm..Renens) in May...luckily a friend of mine living in Zurich told me about glocals and so here I am!! Before leaving I'm just doing that kind of bad things everyday like happy hours, drinking, eating out, partying and so on...that's just because I know many folks here and they all want to say "goodbye" to their fellow-friend! :D (really I think it's just an excuse to go out everyday..)..surely I'll end up fatter than you can see in the photo..running activities are welcome!! :D


Just to drop two lines about me I can tell that I'm an easygoing person and I get on with pretty much everyone, I like sports, partying and action on one side.. and having good conversations or enjoy relaxing time on the opposite...I don't know a word of French but I'll be in the business as soon as I'll get accustomed a bit in my new living place...I'll be happy to meet with someone and drink something or similar. I'll also check out all the interesting activities to join out there and...well.. I can't wait to come!

You'll soon find out that this is one of the greatest place to be, and paradise if you love outdoor activities! There's a big international crowd essentially around the 5 major cities: Zurich, Geneva, Lausanne and Basel and as soon as you come to one of the Glocals events you will find a lot of friendly and open-minded people.There are activities for every taste and if you have new ideas of something you would like to do but don't find it on the activities list you can simply propose the activity yourself.


If you are into bars, there are loads of great ones in Lausanne. You might want to start with some legendary ones like The Great Escape (a little crowded due to its success), the Etoile Blanche, The King Size Pub, the Harper's Pub, la Brasserie du Chateau (good pizzas), Les Gosses du Québec, the Bleu Lézard (concerts & clubbing in their cellar), Le Nomad (for wine)... best is to join one of pub crawls posted on this wonderful website :-)

Hi Ivan, welcome & nice to meet you (virtually at least) I'm here my second week and I love it! I'm mostly interested of exploring Switzerland durring weekends so I'll post some activities, feel free to join if you want.

Hey I'm here since May 10 as promised :-) I'm just settling and adjusting things here and there, will go back to Italy this weekend but from next week I'll look forward to meeting you and join activities as well!
