Hi! My name is Katherine. I have a duel citizenship and am in the process of trying to move to Geneva from America. I have graduated college with an art degree and am looking for where to go next both in location and career. I am really looking forward to experiencing a new culture and being able to see some of my family more regularly. I am still stateside at the moment but am hoping to be making my move in the early fall with my dog.
I am currently looking for a room to rent, maybe starting in September. I don't know how long I will be staying as it depends on whether or not I am able to find a job ( I am not picky about what job at the moment, meaning it doesn't necessarily need to be related to my field of study). Is it too soon to start looking for housing? I know when I was going through the rental process for college we had to move fast. (Meaning it took MAYBE a month between the time I started looking to when I was signing a lease.) Just in case anyone who reads this knows of something to fit my needs I am a quiet and clean person. I do have a small dog, but he is very well behaved.
Another question I had was where the best place to take french classes is? I studied it a couple of years in college, but my skills are definitely lacking currently.
I am looking foreward to getting to know people both on this forum and in the city when I get there.
Have I said too much? ;)
Katherine
