Hello from Alicia in Morzine

Hello

My name is Alicia and I live in Morzine in the Portes du Soliel which is about an hour from Geneva.  I run a small 5 bedroom ski chalet (www.chaletsavoyarde.co.uk) with my husband and we've been over here for nearly 18 months.  This is our second season and we're hoping with the fantastic snow conditions that we'll get lots of bookings from the UK but at the moment we're pretty quite (probably due to the downturn in the UK economy).  Although we're making the most of this quite period to ski and snowboard before the slopes become too busy.

Have only just found out about this wonderful website so I'm hoping to meet lots of really nice people who will become really good friends.

Hi Alicia,

I'm new to this site too. Saw your post today and it caught my eye as my husband and I are in Mozine and the PDS every weekend pretty much. We live in a village called Bons En Chablais - about 30 mins from Geneva, but we head up to the mountains every weekend. My husbands folks have an old chalet in Le Biot so we stay there, which is cool! We snowboard most weekends. Had heard that things were a bit slow so far this season, which is a shame considering the snow has been great! Xmas week was pretty manic tho!

We moved over from the UK back in July. My husband works for the UNHCR. So far we've really enjoyed our new lifestyle!
